Fractal festival 2024

Fractal Festival's first edition in Namibia was my trial by fire in large‑scale desert production. I spent a month in Germany preparing the CNC files for a full Fibonacci‑inspired stage—laser‑cut panels, ready to assemble—but once we reached the site, the combination of the desert's high winds, immense heat, and a lean crew made a single monumental structure impractical. Rather than force the structure, I pivoted: the individual panels became freestanding light pieces scattered around the dance floor. The pared‑back layout let the granite peak remain the star, harmonised with my projection‑mapping after dark, and kept the installation within the festival’s time and budget limits. Above is the initial concept for the stage and alongside photos of the final setup so you can see how the original vision evolved into a more landscape‑driven, minimalist experience.

GOA SUN
1st and 2nd edition
For the first and second editions of Goa Sun, I had the opportunity to bring my vision to life through custom stage design and mapping. For the first edition, I designed and modeled a 3D elephant, which became the centerpiece of the stage. From that initial concept, I built the entire structure around it. For the second edition, I expanded on that idea—doubling the elephants and reworking the stage to create an even more striking visual presence. These were my first fully independent projects, where I had complete creative freedom. It was a beautiful experience and a true success—one where I could finally express something that felt entirely my own.
